Payment

  • Payment is accepted over PayPal in AUD (Australian Dollars). Prices listed include any transaction fees/taxes/conversation fees etc.

  • Jennifer requires full payment upfront before she starts the commission, unless it has been explicitly negotiated otherwise. Commissions priced above $100 AUD may be paid 50% upfront and 50% upon completion.

  • When batch availability slots are available for commissions, your slot is not confirmed until you have paid.

Process

  • Communication will be done over email.

  • Acrylic commissions are opened in batches. Jennifer Crow will take orders for acrylic commissions over a period of time, and after that time ends all artworks have been completed, the art will be sent to the acrylic manufacturer to be made.

  • This can take 2-4 weeks before the acrylic items are sent back to Jennifer Crow for checking, before they are then shipped out to commissioners. Please factor in this extended timeframe when you make your order.

  • To keep on schedule and ensure that everyone’s products are ordered from the manufacturer on time, you must reply to any messages for approval or questions from Jennifer Crow within 7 days so all artwork can be completed by the due date. If this is not met, you may miss out on having your artwork submitted to the manufacturer for that batch of orders, and it may need to wait for the next batch, or be treated as an abandoned commission.

  • If you know you may be unable to check messages and respond within those 7 days, let Jennifer Crow know in advance so it can be worked into the batch’s manufacturing schedule as best as possible.

  • After your commission has been accepted, Jennifer will send you an invoice.

  • Jennifer will ask for approval/revision notes at the following stages:
    - Sketch and rough colours
    - Line art and flat colours
    - Final

  • Three revisions are free. Additional revisions will cost an additional $10 AUD each. If an artwork has already been completed, please be aware that further changes may be unable to be made to the artwork.

  • Once the art has been finished, Jennifer will send you the digital file/s for the art. You will be kept updated when the order has been made with the manufacturer, and when Jennifer sends the final products to you after checking them.

Copyright/Usage

  • Jennifer Crow retains all rights to the artwork. She can use it to promote her artwork, as an example of a commission, as a work-in-progress on her private Patreon, and post it on her portfolio and social media accounts.

  • If you would like Jennifer to not publicly post the commission online, even temporarily (such as in the case of it being a surprise gift for someone), let her know as soon as possible.

  • You can use the artwork for personal use only. Rights to commercial use (where the commissioner makes money off the work in any way, including for promoting a business or putting it on a product) may be discussed.

  • You cannot edit out Jennifer Crow’s signature on the artwork. If it has been posted online and the signature has been cropped out, credit must be given in the post description by saying the artist is Jennifer Crow, and linking to her website www.jennifercrow.com.au or her social media accounts if possible and appropriate.

Specifications

  • Digital art will be created and delivered in CMYK colour format by default.

  • There will be a version of the character art on a transparent background, and a version of the character art on a plain opaque background.

  • File types Jennifer usually provides for illustrations are PNG. If you would like other file types, just ask.

Customer Satisfaction

  • All physical products are hand-checked by Jennifer before being sent out to commissioners to ensure that they work as intended and have not been damaged in transit.

  • If Jennifer Crow receives your products from the manufacturer faulty/damaged, you will be notified and a replacement will be arranged between Jennifer and the manufacturer ASAP, which can take up to several weeks to be remade and delivered at Jennifer again. Otherwise, you can receive a partial refund to cover the cost of the physical acrylic token manufacturer and shipping, but not for the artwork portion of the cost.

  • If your product/s are delivered to you faulty/damaged, a replacement can be arranged to be made when the next batch of commission orders has been sent to the manufacturer. This can take several months. Otherwise, you can receive a partial refund to cover the cost of the physical acrylic token manufacture, but not for the artwork portion of the cost. Photos of the damaged products must be supplied before action is taken. Contact regarding this must be made within 60 days of the product being dispatched according to the postal tracking. Please contact Jennifer at hello@jennifercrow.com.au.

  • Jennifer tries to make colours print as accurately as she can, and conducts print tests on her studio’s art printer before sending files to the manufacturers. However, in some cases, colours may turn out slightly differently due to differences in computer screen visuals between Jennifer Crow, the manufacturer, and the commissioner, as well as different printers being used by the manufacturer. In particular, dark colours may print out darker. Please keep this in mind - she does her best!

  • Acrylic standees (including the TTRPG character tokens and initiative markers) will arrive flat-packed. If you would like your products to stay securely assembled for play, it is suggested that you add small dots of Blu Tack (non permanent) or an acrylic-friendly glue (permanent) into the slots. Please note that glue that is unsuitable for acrylic/cut edges of acrylic may result in adverse effects.

Cancellations/Refunds

  • Jennifer has the right to decline a commission.

  • Jennifer has the right to cancel a commission (and will provide a full refund upon doing so).

  • Once the artwork has been started, the commissioner may cancel the commission, but will only be eligible for a partial refund depending on how much of the artwork had already been completed.

  • If you file a chargeback against Jennifer Crow at any point, your rights to the artwork will be rescinded.

  • Once the artwork has been sent to the acrylic manufacturer, change of mind refunds/cancellations will not be accepted.
