About

Jennifer Crow is an illustrator and animator based in Naarm/Melbourne, Australia.

Because she’s always been more of a homebody, she spent her childhood playing video game RPGs, watching cartoons, writing stories, and drawing, in love with anything to do with heroic fantasy adventures and virtual pets.

Now that she’s grown up, Jennifer not only has real pets, but has written, directed, and animated the three short films Step Back, Roboderby, and Overgrow, and done illustration and animation work for clients including Farrago Magazine and Melbourne’s White Night. She has also contributed art to several collaborative projects, ranging from self-published art books to a tarot deck and a music album. Her personal work often explores themes like queerness, self-indulgence, love, belonging, nostalgia, introspection, mental health, and grief.

Jennifer’s other hobbies include volunteering for a rat and mouse rescue by doing fundraising and being a foster carer and wildlife carer, as well as playing Dungeons & Dragons. She’s still in love with playing video game RPGs, watching cartoons, writing stories, and drawing.
